The Jan Broberg Foundation is dedicated to providing healing and hope for childhood sexual abuse survivors. We offer a variety of resources, including an online community called THRIVIVORS, which provides support groups, special events, and tools to help survivors rebuild and thrive in their lives. The foundation also raises awareness about childhood sexual abuse which in turn empowers individuals, families, and communities to recognize the signs, take action, and prevent abuse before it occurs. Additionally, we advocate for policy and legislation that protects survivors and holds perpetrators accountable.
Sexual violence against children is a widespread reality that affects millions of girls and boys around the world. It occurs everywhere, in every country, and across all segments of society. A child may be subjected to sexual abuse or exploitation in many circumstances, including at home, at school, and in their community. Most children who face sexual abuse experience other kinds of violence as well. Such prevalence of abuse, stalls progress and creates dire consequences for entire societies.
We can all play a role in preventing sexual violence against children. By raising awareness, supporting survivors, and advocating for policy and legislative changes, we can help to create a safer and more just world for all children. Together, we can make a difference.
